Rules:
1. Usage of third-party software that is intended to gain an unfair advantage against other players on the servers is strictly forbidden. Examples of such third-party software include but are not limited to: programs and applications that modify via memory editing, code injection, and network traffic manipulation.
2. Disrupting server activity with malicious intent is strictly forbidden. This is including but not limited to Castaway.tf servers, the Castaway.tf steam group, and any other Castaway.tf affiliate controlled space. Examples of such behavior include cheating, creating false panic, encouraging players to leave, mass kick votes, raiding, and other gameplay disruptive behavior.
3. Malicious use of kick votes is strictly forbidden. The intent of kick votes are to remove bad elements from the servers, examples include individuals using cheating software, or performing illegal/disruptive activities. Failure to use kick votes for their intended purpose will result in the removal of voting privileges from the offending party.
By proceeding to play on the Castaway.tf Team Fortress 2 game servers, you unconditionally and hereby agree to the written rules of the Castaway.tf Team Fortress 2 game servers. Failure to follow these rules will result in expulsion of your account from the game servers and/or related Castaway.tf affiliate controlled space(s).
Votekick Policy:
This is a separate policy written specifically for the vote kick system. It exists to solve a problem within our servers as a compromise to all parties.
Unprotected Content
Unprotected Content is defined as any content which contains anything from the following list:
- Pornography
- Fetish Content
- Gore
Any content listed above is considered to be unprotected content, that is to say, if someone is actively using any of the content above, there will be no reprecussions against anyone who attempts to votekick said individuals. Conversely, any content NOT in the above list is considered to be protected content, that is to say, if someone is actively using any of the content above, there WILL be reprecussions against those who call votes against those individuals for their content. Reprecussions include temporary or permanent removal of the offender's ability to call vote kicks.
Unprotected content applies only to in game decal content, such as sprays, sign decals, or cosmetic decals. Any content not within the game should not be taken into account when calling votes.
Vendetta and grudge kicks are explicitly disallowed. Kicking for content that is not actively being used is not permitted, such as if a player changes their spray or decal, or has merely used it in the past. Kicks are only to be used for active use of unprotected content.
You are not obliged, nor required to kick users for unprotected content.
